HOW IT
STARTED.
In 2014 we set up a roaster in South Yarra. No investors. No launch event. No press release. Just a second-hand Probat, a lease, and the conviction that Melbourne deserved better coffee without the performance that usually comes with it.
The name came from the music — Two Tone, ska, the stuff that was confrontational but precise. Fast, loud, no filler. That's still the brief. Roast it well. Say what it is. Charge a fair price. Done.
Twelve years later we’re still at the same address. Still using the same direct-trade contacts we built before "direct-trade" became a marketing line. Still roasting on the same drum.
